What it is. A digital menu for restaurants, built for Ristorante Il Rinascente: guests open it by scanning a QR code at the table, with nothing to install. Behind it, a back office lets the restaurant update dishes, prices, categories, allergens and languages on its own.

What it contains:

  • responsive public menu, readable on any smartphone
  • several menus active at once: daily menu, pizzas, seasonal menu
  • expandable categories with icons, allergens highlighted on every dish
  • multilingual: 3 languages, 5 menus, 12 categories, 134 dishes

What we built:

  • back office with dashboard and records for menus, categories, dishes, allergens and languages
  • QR codes to print on tables, always pointing to the current menu
  • instant publishing: every change goes live with nothing to reprint
  • custom look based on the restaurant's colours

Tech stack: PHP, MySQL, responsive Bootstrap, authenticated back office, QR codes, allergen management compliant with EU Reg. 1169/2011.
